Our Buying Process

How We Prepare Your New Car for the Road

At A 2 B Motors Specialist Ltd we want you to drive away in a car that’s not just great value, but also fully prepared, serviced, and safe. Here’s exactly how our buying process works from start to finish.

1. Viewing & Test Drive

Most of our vehicles (around 90%) aren’t immediately ready to drive away, as we complete a full service and MOT before handover. 

Your first visit is for a face-to-face viewing, where you can take a close look at the car and, if suitable, enjoy a test drive. This gives you a real feel for the vehicle before committing.

2. Comprehensive Service & Safety Checks

Once you’ve decided to purchase, our qualified mechanics carry out a thorough pre-delivery service. This includes:

• Full oil and filter change
• Checking and, if needed, replacing tyres, brake pads, discs, link bars, wishbones, bulbs, and suspension legs
• Inspecting the handbrake, steering, and other key components
• Completing any repairs or replacements recommended by our in-house mechanics

We don’t cut corners, if something needs attention, we fix it before you collect the car.

3. Wheel Alignment & MOT

After servicing, we perform a wheel alignment (tracking) to ensure the steering feels perfect and the vehicle handles as it should. 

Next, we carry out a fresh 12-month MOT, giving you complete peace of mind that your car meets all legal and safety standards.

4. Final Road Test & Valet

When the MOT is complete, one of our mechanics takes the car for a final test drive to confirm everything runs smoothly. 

Once approved, your car receives a professional valet so it’s spotless and ready for collection.

5. Collection & Handover

We usually ask for up to 5 working days to prepare your car,  though in many cases it only takes 2–3 days, depending on workshop and MOT schedules.

After your car is ready, we can hold it for up to 15 days to give you flexibility with collection.
